Homemade Mac & Cheese
1 lb elbow macaroni
9 T butter
salt & pepper to taste
9 T all-purpose flour (YOU CANNOT USE SELF-RISING)
3 C milk
2 C shredded cheddar cheese
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook your noodes according to package directions.
2. While macaroni is cooking, melt your butter on medium heat. Add your salt, pepper and flour, stirring continuously. When it's good and mixed, stir in your milk. Stir until it thickens, then remove from heat.
3. Drain macaroni and place in a large casserole dish. Cover with sauce. Add 1 1/2 C cheese and mix. Then, sprinkle the rest of your cheese on the top.
4. Bake until cheese is melted.

Southern Cornbread
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup flour
milk
1 T salt
1. Mix cornmeal, flour and milk in a bowl until tacky. Add salt. Pour in pan and shake to even out mixture.
2. Bake until golden brown. About 30 minutes.
